This is in (partial) answer to "What's in it for my apprentices?" and "What do I have in mind for apprentices?" To some degree this is a follow up to one of my apprentice ads.
Generally, I can probably help you learn marketable skills. A more formal way I can help is to turn your personal projects into work experience. I can be a professional reference as a boss / manager. Job recruiters love talking to me. They'll be trying to recruit me, too. Ideally we discuss in advance what it is I'm "blessing" / certifying / approving as work experience. In some cases I could see doing so after the fact after asking you lots of questions.
If it's something that you're willing to post to my site (this site), then you have work experience for my site. Obviously I have to want it on my site, which goes back to the above--ideally we discuss in advance. I don't think I'm exaggerating the notion, though, that I'm getting controversial; I am getting increasing off of the software topic on my site, and I'm potentially getting more "extreme." So if you don't want stuff on my site for that reason, I understand that without further discussion. But there are plans B and C and almost certainly more.
What we're trying to avoid is putting stuff on a site that is obviously yours and would be written off as a "personal project." So one option is to buy (lease) a domain name and privacy protect the "whois" name. Then, I can call it my site for managerial purposes. Also, I have a domain name that has been privacy protected for several years, although it was "in the clear" for several months if not longer. It was probably privacy protected by 2016 or 2017. I'd probably lend that out long enough to get you hired somewhere, or perhaps just transfer it to you.
