List of ROWE (Results-Only Work Environment) companies, 2016

My personal, unofficial definition of ROWE:

We the employer don't care where you work, when you work, how many hours you work, how much vacation you take, as long as the agreed-upon job gets done on time.

For search purposes, I heard this term, once, in 2016, without the W, so ROE or results-only environment.

With a true ROWE company, it does not matter where they are versus where you are, but I list location anyhow.

Atlanta area

Confirmed ROWE

• RippleIT.com - Atlanta, New York, Austin (?) Ripple-ROWE-statement (ROWE confirmation), "RIT" jobs at bottom of page
• Reliant Technology - cloud storage "RT" statement, "RT" jobs
• Comentec - integrator, SAP and such. Comentec's careers page confirms "Results Only" in HTML "header 2" right there. :)
• Salesloft.com They do data mining on Facebook and such--sales leads, etc. 2 references on their site: "10 Questions...", "Rainmaker...". Hiring Info: I applied years ago, and Kyle Porter, the CEO, wrote me back very quickly. As I remember, our timing didn't work out, and I didn't pursue it. My point is that I got a response to an application, which is rare and worth mentioning for others. Last I checked, Salesloft was at the Atlanta Tech Village, but they may well have "graduated" by mid-2016.

Atlanta area, possible ROWE

• Quad.IO - very small. In August, 2014, it seems I was certain they are ROWE. I can't find the evidence exactly 2 years later. Hiring Info: I put a "query" in my URL to my cover letter on this / my web site. I have every reason to believe that a human looked at my site, but I didn't hear from them. Last I checked, Quad.IO was at the Atlanta Tech Village.
• Novarata.com - I have reason to believe that they claim to be ROWE, or they did recently. I also have reason to believe that their definition may not be the same as the purists', and ROWE, to me, is a very pure concept--you either are or aren't ROWE. I'd be very curious for someone to explore this. Last I checked, Novarata was also at the Atlanta Tech Village.
• Atlanta Tech Village, generally. There are almost certainly more ROWE companies at the ATV.
• Pardot was purchased by Salesforce. The founder of Pardot, David Cummings, still talks a lot about ROWE, but I cannot figure out whether Pardot as it currently exists is ROWE

NON-Atlanta US, confirmed

• Doist. See "flexible hours" and "Night Owl?" on that page. "At Doist, we specialize in productivity software."
• Jungle Scout. Amazon product research (automation?). Member of AWS Partner Network. The job page I link doesn't say ROWE but it says "100% Remote: Work when, and where, suits you best. Our team is distributed across the globe. Literally." That sounds close enough for me. I also literally can't tell in a few minutes where they are centered in terms of location. Of course, it doesn't matter. :)
• Edmunds.com - fairly famous car pricing and data site, Santa Monica, LA, CA, US. Edmunds' ROWE statement
• Spinweb, Indianapolis. Spinweb ROWE confirmation
• Tower Marketing. Lancester, PA. That article is dated 2014 and then referenced in 2015. From what I remember reading in 2014, they were gung-ho and probably would not change their policy. I have a note from 2014: "Let's Go Holding's CEO, Callum Negus Fancey." Let's Go was (still is?) the parent company. Let's Go was in the UK. I believe he was talking about ROWE.
• J.A. Counter & Associates. Insurance and benefits planning, Wisconsin. The linked page confirms ROWE.
• Watt Global Media. Rockford, IL. "WATT Global Media has connected buyers and sellers in the poultry, pig, animal feed and pet food industries through its media channels for more than 95 years." That page confirms ROWE.

Partially / Previously Confirmed

• Ervin and Smith, web dev and marketing, Omaha. When I applied to them in 2014, I was sure they were ROWE. At a glance in 2016, I see similar verbiage but not precisely ROWE. The only thing I got back from them was an auto-response.
• The Gap, corporate HQ (probably not stores). The clothing store. I confirmed in 2014, but that page is dead. The only reference I see now is dated 2011 (bottom of page 13 says "ROWE").
• Fairview Health Services, Minnesota / Hennepin County, Minn., Human Services and Public Health Department (HSPHD). Confirmed as of 2011.

Based on another's old list - unconfirmed by me

This older list is dated roughly 2009 - 2011. I don't have everything on that list in my list, but below are a couple more from the "old" list. At a glance, in 2016, I don't think that list page has changed since I saw it in '14.

• CFN Services Networking and cloud co. Northern VA (where AWS has a server farm). I have a note from 2014 that I "partially" confirmed.

History of this list

I made this list in August, 2014. I'm reworking it in August, 2016. In 2014, seeking ROWE companies through the 16th page of Google, a personal record. I have not actively updated the list since '14. I'm only webifying the list in '16. I was motived to webify the list when a friend sent me Jungle Scout in August '16.
